Archives 2 - National Space Centre

In 2011 our science class wrote the winning essay to name the "Big Dish" at Ireland's National Space Centre, now known as "CORY" ... we'll let you figure out why we called it that ....

We have been to Cascais in Portugal where we operated, remotely, a robotic telescope, located in Arizona.

We also went to Grudziadtz in Poland, where we Represented Ireland at an International Youth Astronomy Conference.

Regina Mundi College hosted a European Astronomy event: "Young European Astromomers in Harmony" or "YEAH 2012" .... yeah!

This project was supported by Comenius, Leargas, Blackrock Castle Observatory, University College Cork and other European and Irish organisations.

The students and staff at Regina Mundi College sincerely thank all those who have supported our project.
